Jim worked for a short period in the Orchards back in the 70's

He was really pleased that I contacted him so he could get lodge a claim and get his superannuation money back from over 40 years and in Nov 2018 he sent me this small cheque.

Joanne regarding her Late Mother's Money

Joanne sent this lovely reply in July 2018

"Hi Allan,

Please find attached the reply from Datacom regarding the refunding of the amount my (ed. late) mother paid into this scheme many years ago.  Although the refund was a very small amount, $63.15, there is a principle involved in that the money did not belong to the NZ Government it belonged to my mother or her descendents.
You have had little trouble tracking us down so there is no reason why the Government could not have done the same, it is a pity they didn't care to do so.

Thank you for taking the time and effort to follow through on a principle.

Regards"

Note that UnclaimedfundsNZ did not charge on a success fee in this occasion on such low value payouts.

Airlie & Len from Hokianga

Airlie sent me this thank you note in February 2018

Dear Mr Tucker,

Enclosed please find Len’s cheque for you being the 22% of the superannuation money that showed up yesterday on being deposited by Datacom

I would like to take this opportunity to apologise for being so cynical and suspicious when you phone last month.

We see so much about scams that target the elderly that I jumped to the conclusion that this was a scam.

I feel deservedly embarrassed by that now, so please accept my apologies for my rudeness

Regards

Dawn and Brian from Oamaru

Dawn sent me this email in Dec 2017.
I identified her maiden name on the NPF scheme as she married Brian in 1979 (and changed her name)

"Dear Allan,
I write to advise that I have received $906.68 into my bank account from NPF.
I therefore work out that I owe you $200.00 in commission.
Could you just give me your bank account number and I will pay it in.
Thank you for your help in this matter.
I much appreciate what you have done to enable me to receive this money.

Keep up the good work.

Regards

Jim in Christchurch

Jim, who emigrated from Scotland in the Early 70's, was a plumber in Christchurch who worked for wages for a short time before he set up his own business, and he successfully recovered his NPF Super after 40 years in Nov 2016

Kath in Hawkes Bay

I contacted Kath in July 2016.

She was a part time nurse at Napier Hospital who went back to work after starting a family in the mid 60's.

She was not working full time and when she contacted the NPF, they indicated that there was only a small amount in her name, She then submitted the claim form and in October '16.

She was really happy to receive her payout after the 40 years of Interest to pay for her car registration and provide a little treat for herself.

Wendy and Bruce

Bruce who now lives on the West coast worked in the freezing works in Auckland in the mid 1970's.

Declining health meant Wendy and Bruce had to move to the South Island.

In Jan 2016, I contacted Wendy who successfully completed a claim on Bruces behalf.

He had recently suffered a stroke.

Wendy received a signifiant payout later in 2016,

She is extremely grateful that I located them both and enabled them to get Bruce's superannuation monies refunded for them both.

Karen and Doug

Karen worked as a charge Nurse in the Auckland Hospital in the mid 1970, she married Doug in 1978 and later moved to Melbourne.

I contacted them early in 2016 and Karen got her superannuation plus interest paid out mid 2016.

She is delighted that I searched and located her and the superannuation money plus interest was paid directly into her Australian bank account.
