Survived by a spouse

If the Deceased claimant is survived by a spouse,  then the following documentation needs to be collated:

The claim basis must be on the Marital status at the date of death

  • A copy of the Spouse's Drivers licences or  Passport
  • A Copy of their Marriage Certificate
  • Full Bank details of the  surviving spouse (claimant)
  • A copy of the Deceased claimant's Death Certificate

Survived by a spouse who is now deceased

If the Deceased claimant is survived by a spouse who is now deceased, the claim basis must be on the Marital status at the date of death.

Then the following documentation needs to be collated: 

  • A copy of the Spouse's death Certificate
  • A Copy of the Spouses Will, Probate or letters of Administration
  • Full Bank details of the Executor of the spouse's estate (claimant)
  • A copy of the Spouse's Executor's Drivers licences or Passport
  • A copy of the Deceased claimant's Death Certificate

No Surviving Spouse at the Time of Death

If the Deceased claimant is not survived by a spouse at the time of death,  a claim can be made by the decendants who are identified as rightful heirs.  

The following documentation needs to be collated:

  • A Copy of the Will, Probate or letters of Administration
  • Full Bank details of the Executor of the estate (claimant)
  • A copy of the Executor's Drivers licences or Passport
  • A copy of the Deceased claimant's Death Certificate
